OUR BOARD
The Ranch is incredibly blessed with a volunteer Board of Directors who provide strategic direction and financial oversight of all the Ranch’s programs and operations.

"When I see a joyous expression light up a child's face as they experience a breakthrough victory, it's like a payment from heaven." This is what truly inspires me to do my best at what God has called me to do here at the Ranch. My favorite horse is Absolutely Bay (AB) because at the age of 32, he just keeps giving to bless children and youth.
Abby Bozard | Co-Founder and Director
I fully support the Valley Trotters Youth Ranch mission, Building Character, Restoring Hope & Empowering Relationships. Often, I am impressed with children’s achievements when they are mentored and given opportunities to discover and learn in a safe and loving environment like VTYR. In a special way, that’s exactly what God does for us! My favorite horse is Jetson because he is a model of stability and faithfulness. Truly he is an angel in horse hair.
Cecily Dyer | Vice President
Serving youth for over 34 years in the Scouting program has shown me again and again that kids today have many different kinds of stresses and anxieties in their lives. Often, they don't know how to process and cope with those stresses and anxieties. I have always loved horses and have personally experienced the joy and the healing that they can offer. So, it is easy for me to see that VTYR is a place for children to experience that same joy and, if they need it, healing. It is my honor to be part of this ministry. My favorite horse is Absolutely Bay (AB). He and I have a long history of sharing conversation and love.
Deb Keenan | Treasurer
Valley Trotters Youth Ranch is such a blessing to the community and our family. The emotional, physical, and spiritual transformation horses have on the human soul leaves me absolutely awestruck and inspires me to serve at the ranch. To be called to serve at such an amazing place is an absolute honor and joy. It's hard to pick a favorite horse, but Lilly gives the most cathartic hugs and nuzzles.
Christopher O’Connor | Secretary
I grew up in Spring, Texas. I got married in Nicaragua and began raising a family there while managing a ranch and cattle operations. God's plan changed everything and brought me and my family back to Texas in 2016, and to the Rio Grande Valley and VTYR in 2018. The best part of VTYR is seeing kids who start becoming aware of their possibilities. My favorite horses are Rickey and Sabhi.
